POSITION SUMMARY: Supports hospital and satellites in a role as phlebotomist. Assists with other duties as defined by the specific needs Of the work areas such as accessioning, test processing, equipment maintenance, registration.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification of completion of KCC phlebotomy program and/or National Certification as a Phlebotomist.
MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: Recordkeeping skills with clear verbal and written communication skills. Computer experience. Must be able to read and correctly interpret technical reports and manuals.Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows application.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred. BLS-Heartsaver certification biennially.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: Previous paid work experience as a Phlebotomist and/or Lab Aide/Assistant.
