POSITION SUMMARY: Performs personal care and assists with other activities of daily living for clients who may require moderate/substantial to total assistance to perform activities for daily living and health maintenance. The most important characteristic of the PCA is a positive attitude and enthusiasm for patient care.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: At least three (3) months nurse aide or home health aide experience; will consider individual who has completed Nurses Aide training course. Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows applications.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: BLS- Healthcare Provider certification bienniallyHeartsaver First Aid certificate - bienniallyCurrent Drivers’ license in good standing.Annual Drivers’ abstract in good standing.Current No-Fault Auto Insurance
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months recent experience as a nurse aide or home health aide with adults preferred.Current Certified Nurse Assistant preferred.
