TitleAdministrative Coordinator, High School 

DescriptionAssists the Principal in the day-to-day operations of the school to ensure efficient functioning of operations. Keeps in close contact with staff members at the school and associated campuses and operations department to ensure frequent and smooth communications, early identification of needs and concerns, problem-solving where appropriate, and researches data or relevant information for resolution of issues. Researches and compiles data for reports, summaries and projections such as quarterly reports and the annual campus budget as directed by the Principal. Drafts, types and distributes various correspondences to include meeting minutes, memos, reports, letters, etc. Also prepares, types, and distributes special announcements and memorandums as directed. Coordinates Principal’s schedule by taking appointment requests, reviewing availability and considering priorities of request. Also schedules special events and special meetings as requested. Coordinates all required logistics for special events which may include food services, audio-visual, transportation, handouts, etc. May oversee and/or coordinate the work of other department administrative support staff as needed for mass production or mass mailings. Creates and maintains various confidential files that may include teacher and staff files, personnel files and general office files. Ensures files are organized in an efficient manner for ready information retrieval. Creates appropriate electronic files as needed. Maintains petty cash fund for Principal’s office. Responsible for travel arrangements for Principal and staff which include air and ground transportation, lodging and other related travel services. Ensures travel advance and travel expense reconciliation reports are completed within established guidelines.
 

Position Requirements• Strong organizational skills to prioritize work, handle multiple deadlines and assignments. • Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (staff, students, parents, vendors, etc.) • Ability to work with little or no supervision, work with numerous interruptions, work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends as needed. • Good working knowledge of microcomputers to include word processing, database and spreadsheets software applications. • Good oral and written communications skills. • Valid Driver’s License. • 2-3 years of related work experience.
 

Educational RequirementsHigh School Diploma/equivalent.
