BAE Systems is seeking a Proposal Analyst III with Ship Repair experience.
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
The Proposal Analyst III will support the development of financial proposal packages, of moderate complexity. Responsible for supporting financial data to facilitate the preparation of proposals, to provide support for the contract negotiation process, and to provide budgets for awarded contracts.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.)
1. Perform proposal activities including the development of pricing strategies, preparing cost narratives, risk assessments, business case analysis in support of proposal and/or new business efforts in accordance with company policies and customer requirements
2. Provide support to key/strategic capture activities and proposals.
3. Examine Request for Proposal (RFP) and preparing cost proposals in compliance with FAR, CAS and sector/business unit disclosure statements.
4. Prepare and negotiate proposals with customers.
5. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
III. SUPERVISION:
A. Responsibilities for Work of Others May provide guidance to lower level employees
B. Supervision Received Work is broad in scope covering one or more complicated areas and reflect substantial variety and complexity. Problems solving involves identification and analysis of diverse issues. Frequently operates with substantial latitude for independent judgment and action. Reviews progress with management. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Supervisor is available on an as needed basis to establish general objective.
IV. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
A. Within Company Requires regular contact within the department and with other departments, within the company and external agencies/vendors/contacts/customers, outside of the company supplying or gathering information
B. Outside of Company Frequent outside contact.
V. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: A. Physical Tasks Exerts normal physical energy associated mostly with sitting, and may occasionally stand or walk to perform the work of the position. VI. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with the development of the department's budget by organizing necessary data and figures.

Minimum Qualifications is any of the following:
Must have Ship Repair experience. Education:
Bachelors Degree & 4 year(s) related experience. Associates Degree & 6 year(s) related experience. High School Diploma or GED & 8 year(s) related experience.
NOTE: When a degree is required, one in the subject closest to the field of work is preferred. AND Licenses, Certifications, Special Requirements: NONE
