Job Summary:Under the direction of management, extract, create, print and distribute operational reports to be used by department personnel. Translate and format proprietary enrollment, eligibility and dues payment files from employer groups for use by internal staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Extract information, create and distribute scheduled or on-request reports to support the operational reporting needs of the department. Research and coordinate activities to resolve problem situations to meet report deadlines.
  2. Translate and format group-specific codes on enrollment, eligibility and dues payment files from employer groups into user-friendly terminology to be used by Enrollment Representatives when processing group enrollments. Review and discuss questionable codes with employer groups.
  3. Provide ongoing support in report definition and analysis to meet the changing needs of the department.
  4. Provide PC-related support for the department. Establish security accesses for the department and monitor company-wide accesses to the membership system.
  5. Perform other dues as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  2. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  3. Must have personal computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Access.
  4. Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment.
  5. Reflect a professional image as a representative of HMSA.
  6. Must be focused, attentive to details, accurate and able to meet timelines.
  7. Telephone and E-Mail inquiry skills: Able to effectively converse with customers on the phone or by e-mail to resolve a problem
  8. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.
