Send this job to a friend Security Officer Department: Security Schedule: Part-Time/Non-benefitted (<20 hr/wk) Shift: Evening Shift With Every Weekend Hours: Job Details: - Do you meet ALL the requirements for this position? POSITION SUMMARY: Provides a safe and secure environment for all patients, associates, and visitors; protects Medical Center buildings, assets and property. Responds to requests made by patients, visitors, or associates for assistance in a professional manner. MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: Two (2) years experience as a security officer, in a role that has primarily demonstrated the ability to deal with and appropriately interact with patients, visitors, and employees. Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft Word and Excel Program. Accurately type 20 wpm. Ability to write incident reports, prepare daily logs and conduct routine investigations by properly documenting facts and findings. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: 1) BLS-Heartsaver biennially. 2) CPMR Certification completion within 6 months of hire. 2) Act 208 State of Hawaii Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs Security Officer 3) Certification/Registration (Guard Card) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Twelve (12) months experience in hospital or hotel security and/or law enforcement work.
