As a Senior Product Manager for the Consumer Group, you will be responsible for driving innovation and growth in our Consumer Tax and Personal Finance offerings in Canada. In addition to driving the core business, you will employ your entrepreneurial mindset and leverage broad array of analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills to identify, prioritize and execute new opportunities to accelerate growth and revolutionize the marketplace. You will work collaboratively with cross functional groups, especially marketing and product development to drive growth and launch and grow new initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- The Senior Product Manager would have responsibility for driving facets of our core offerings (TurboTax Desktop/Online, SnapTax Mobile and Quicken) as well as launching new H3 experiments in the mobile and online space
- Developing deep end customer understanding, particularly around unmet needs.
- Understanding and stay current with the dynamic competitive landscape around tax preparation; and, emerging technologies and platforms.
- Leveraging a hypothesis driven approach to turn customer insights into actionable business and product requirements for rapid in-market testing.
- Becoming an internal and external champion, evangelist, and expert on a wide array of tax/financial opportunities for consumers.
- Taking creative risks to develop breakthrough opportunities.
- Leading cross-functional development, marketing and support teams to drive growth.
- Thinking end-to-end by connecting all the pieces of the business (development, marketing, sales, support) to make the offering successful in the market while leveraging all available assets (customers, internal and external data, related offerings, partners) to solve customer problems and create value.
- Identifying and tracking key success metrics (e.g., adoption, usage and customer satisfaction) for each offering and utilizing each offerings metrics to make informed decisions
Qualifications:
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in either (a) the Product Management function and/or (b) a top-tier management consulting firm with delivery experience.
- Must have demonstrated success of leading product strategy and execution from concept to launch. Experience in the tax preparation, financial services, and/ or Internet/ software industries is an asset.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset, bias for action and a passion for delivering great customer experiences.
- Experience driving research and deep customer immersion to garner insights (Focus groups, surveys, Follow-me-home immersion, etc...)
- Have an analytical orientation and possess strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to structure an issue and analyze alternative solutions. The knowledge of an array of analytical methods, and the ability to deploy the appropriate approach in a timely manner, is critical.
- Possess well-developed business judgment which permits the creation of meaningful insight from potentially disparate findings. The ability to think creatively about solutions is a key success factor in the role.
- Demonstrate a passion for ownership through a track record of successfully achieving results in an ambiguous work environment. Tenacity and resourcefulness are essential.
- Have strong project management skills, including a proven ability to think end-to-end, establish priorities, manage long-term projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A track-record of achieving results is critical.
- Have superior communications (written/verbal) and presentation skills. The ability to structure a concise, clear presentation of findings, and effectively present this to any level in the organization is a must.
Educational Background:
- Candidates must have a University Degree (BS/BA/BComm)
- MBA would be considered an asset
- Candidates must also demonstrate a track record of strong academic performance
