Description | Manages and coordinates program operations. Responsible for advising, counseling and developing guidance curriculum in such areas as: career planning, time management, study skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, etc. Develops and maintains positive relationships with employers, students and community organizations through effective communication skills. Collaborates with KS Scholarship entities such as FASS, KAPF, Alu Like, and other KS programs such as Kamehameha Scholars and KS campuses to support program and department goals. Coordinates the planning and implementation of program activities, career site visits and year-end hoike. Analyzes student transcripts and reports student academic status. Develops evaluation tools and monitoring/tracking systems and databases to report effectiveness of career counseling, guidance services, and student achievement. Assess program impact and effectiveness. Collaborates with KS and community entities to support program/institutional goals and represent KS accordingly. Direct Service – Instructs on guidance curriculum. Provides guidance counseling and instruction to students through planned activities in classroom settings or in one-to-one sessions to convey educational, social and college and career information. Assists students in the development of realistic college and career plans and experiences. Program Support – Plans and develops guidance curriculum based on best practices. Facilitates and maintains communications with students, employers, administrators, and pertinent agents on specific student and employer concerns. Provides feedback and recommends appropriate action to solutions to individual student and employer concerns and problems. Managing – Directs and coordinates career program operations and functions for CPHC including program planning, implementation, evaluation and budget preparation. Records/Reporting/Evaluation – Researches best practices in the development of evaluation tools and strategies to determine guidance curriculum effectiveness and student achievement and learning. Assists in the development of reporting tools to provide feedback to participants, employers and administrators. Collaborate/Network/Advocate – Collaborates and networks with internal and external service providers/organizations to leverage resources and to develop effective guidance curriculum services and materials for student participants in program. Advocates on behalf of the students, professionals and employers participating in the program. Represents Departments – Represents department on various EES and institutional committees, activities and events. As appropriate, helps to plan, support and attend activities and special events. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. |

Educational Requirements | Master's Degree Business, Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Humanities or related fields. In lieu of a Master's Degree, 5 years of related work experience may be considered. |
