Position Title TEMPORARY Operator Helper Applicant Pool (T26) Location Kahului, HI, US Department / Division Power Supply / Kahului or Maalaea Power Plant Job Functions Trains to perform the duties of Senior Operator Helper at the plant. Performs general maintenance work as assigned. Brief Description The Power Supply Department at Maui Electric has a TEMPORARY Operator Helper Applicant Pool available. (Role: Implementor) Fundamental Responsibilities Mans a shift with a Senior Operator Helper or Junior Boiler Operator at the steam plant and trains to perform the duties of these classifications. Is assigned operational maintenance work at the steam plant. May perform in relief capacity, standing watch as Senior Operator Helper when qualified. Keeps equipment and work area clean. Maintains watch until relieved. Other Responsibilities Performs similar and incidental duties as required. Helps on overhauls when available. Fundamental Requirements Color blindness not acceptable. Must pass the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) test.  Must pass Job Sample Test. How To Apply NOTE:  This is a full-time, temporary assignment anticipated to last four (4) years.
