Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this Activities Agent - Westin Maui are to attend to current and incoming hotel guests’ activity and dining reservation needs, as well as any other requests or questions they may have. Additionally, promote Westin Vacation Ownership by generating referrals to the Concierge desk that result in the production of tours and sales of Westin Vacation Ownership. Duty or Responsibility ~Activities Scheduling: Responsible for responding and servicing all activity booking requests for current and incoming hotel guests, rescheduling when necessary, and making sure refunds are received in the event an activity is cancelled whether by guest or vendor. Keep any scheduled tours of Westin Vacation Ownership as a priority and schedule all other activities around this tour. ~Dining Reservations: Responsible for making reservations at island restaurants for current and incoming guests while promoting internal dining options. ~VSC and Concierge Specialist Support: Support VSCs in their tour activity and restaurant scheduling by regularly checking SGR to ensure all activities booked support the scheduled tour of Westin Vacation Ownership. In addition, build on established rapport in creating an interest in Westin Vacation Ownership. Also, provide timely communication in AL DESK and SGR of all guest reservations and information to ensure a smooth hand off to VSCs or Concierge Specialist. ~Voucher Monitoring: Regularly monitor voucher pick-ups to ensure no loss due to exceeding 72 hour cancellation policy. Provide vouchers to any guest who purchased activities through Concierge Specialist team either during current trip or pre-arrival. ~Perform the daily duties assigned to you by your supervisor / manager. ~Maintain positive working relations with fellow Starwood associates and merchants. ~Maintain minimum performance standards for activity revenue and tour referrals.
Requirements
• Guest relations experience • Must be organized with excellent communication skills • Must be knowledgeable about our Hawaiian Islands and culture • Public Speaking skills • Proficient in computers, including: Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite Programs, UNIX based hospitality systems SVO is an Equal Opportunity Employer that supports a drug free environment.
