Trinity Power Rentals is looking for a Junior Rental Technician is responsible for working under the Shop Manager and/or electricians with the intent of maintaining the highest level of organization, presentation and quality of Trinity Power Rental’s equipment, shop and yard.
This role will provide the opportunity to learn about electrical equipment (low and medium voltage distribution, protection, transformation, and cable). Growth opportunities in the business will present themselves in time to the right candidate or candidates can use this unique experience to support a move into the electrical trade in the future.
The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the Shop Manager, and is responsible for:
- Shipping and receiving procedures
- Forklift operation including Loading and unloading trailers and moving equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining the presentation of rental equipment
- Maintaining a high level of presentation and organization in Trinity’s yard, warehouse and common shop areas.
- Completing non-technical preventative maintenance, repairs and quality assurance on rental equipment
- Assisting Electricians in fabrication and manufacturing of electrical rental equipment
- May assist Electricians with installations and removal of rental equipment at project site.
- Other duties as may be required
The successful candidate will possess the ability to:
- Take direction and accept responsibility
- Work autonomously and remain self-motivated
- Work beyond regular working hours to meet deadlines when required
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Carry out the physical requirement of the position including the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Operate related equipment.
Qualifications, Knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies:
- Grade 12 diploma, including Math and Physics
- Valid provincial Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Valid forklift operator’s license.
Compensation:
- $15.0 starting wage.
- $16.50 after 3 month probation period.
- Potential to earn up to $22.50 per hour over time with an increase in learning and responsibilities.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Start Date - January 2014
